Grupa Azoty Group delivers strong performance in Q1 2014

For Q1 2014, the Grupa Azoty Group reported a net profit of PLN 149.5m (Q1 2013: over PLN 410m in nominal terms, and PLN 236m net of non-recurring events), with EBIT close to PLN 182m (Q1 2013: PLN 419m) and PLN 2.7bn in revenue (Q1 2013: PLN 2.68bn).

The Management Board of Grupa Azoty appoints Director General

The Management Board of Grupa Azoty, in line with the new business model being implemented at the Company, has appointed Mr Witold Szczypiński, Vice-President of the Management Board, to the position of Director General of the Tarnów-based Company, with effect from the beginning of April 2014.

Grupa Azoty S.A. rolls out key investment projects

Grupa Azoty S.A. is launching investments in the Plastics and Fertilizers segments. The flagship projects – Polyamide 6 Plant and Granulation Plant II – with a total estimated cost of PLN 460m, are to be placed in service in 2016 and will give jobs to 110 people. The Company has already secured all corporate approvals required to commence the investment process.

Grupa Azoty Group's 2013 financial results

For 2013, the Grupa Azoty Group reported revenue of PLN 9.8bn (2012: PLN 7.1bn), net profit of PLN 714m (2012: PLN 315m) and operating profit (EBIT) of PLN 703m (2012: PLN 372m).

Slow growth in challenging market environment

Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Puławy S.A.'s H1 consolidated net profit was PLN 37m, on total revenue of PLN 1,763m (with EBIT and EBITDA at PLN 39m and PLN 112m, respectively).
