Grupa Azoty has joined forces with TAURON on a project to construct a coal gasification unit for chemical production. A letter of intent was signed by the parties in Warsaw on April 20th 2017.

On March 16th 2017, Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupa Azoty Police published their estimated key consolidated financial results for 2016.

Tuesday, February 28th 2016, saw an official handover of laboratory equipment to the Technical School Complex of Tarnów-Mościce. The event marked the end of the process of Grupa Azoty setting up a laboratory for the school, where chemical technology students will be improving their skills in order to join the Tarnów workforce of Grupa Azoty in the future.

On February 3rd 2016, vacancies were filled and changes made in the Presidium of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry. Wojciech Wardacki, President of the Management Boards of Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupa Azoty Police, was appointed new Chairman of the Board.

For the sixth time, the Catalysts Business Unit of Grupa Azoty S.A. will take part as an exhibitor at the international ‘Nitrogen&Syngas’ conference, this year held from February 27th to March 2nd in London.

On November 23rd, Air Products, one of the largest suppliers of industrial gases in Poland, and Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. of the Grupa Azoty Group, the second largest manufacturer of mineral fertilizers in the European Union, signed a long-term oxygen and nitrogen supply contract. Valid until the end of 2035, the contract is a continuation of the companies’ cooperation, dating back to 1997. By signing the contract, Air Products strengthens its position of a leading supplier of industrial gases for the key branches of Polish industry.
