Artur Chołody, PhD holds a doctorate in economics and graduated in law from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He completed legal training at the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Poznań, passing the final examination and qualifying as a legal counsel. He also completed postgraduate MBA studies in Human Resources Management at Franklin University Ohio / WSB Poznań, as well as postgraduate programmes in Management Psychology, Non-Governmental Organisation Management, Internet Entrepreneurship, and Methodology of Economic Sciences.

For nearly 20 years he has been a partner in Wielkopolska Grupa Prawnicza sp.k., a law f irm specialising in public procurement and advisory services for companies bidding for international public contracts.  Between 2024 and 2025 he served on the governing bodies of Alior Bank S.A. – initially as a member of the Supervisory Board and subsequently as acting President of the Management Board. His responsibilities included the management and oversight of sales in both the business and retail client segments, as well as supervision of the legal and compliance department. He has also served on the management boards of companies in the industrial sector, successfully leading the restructuring of Fabryka Narzędzi Specjalnych sp. z o.o., laying the foundations for the creation of a Polish corporate group in the tooling industry.

Artur Chołody, PhD has served on supervisory boards for around five years. He has overseen public entities, including as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zarząd Komunalnych Zasobów Lokalowych sp. z o.o. in Poznań, and as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej sp. z o.o. in Ostrzeszów. 

A manager with over 25 years of experience and an Executive MBA degree obtained after completing studies conducted by GFKM at the University of Gdańsk and RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam.

A graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice and the Łódź University of Technology, as well as numerous postgraduate studies, including: Corporate Finance Management and Property Valuation.

An experienced manager in financial management, production processes, sales teams, controlling, logistics and IT. An expert in strategic management and streamlining business operations that stimulate growth in results and increase the efficiency and profits of organisations.

He began his professional career at Bank Przemysłowo Handlowy S.A. in 1996, rising from the position of Clerk to Branch Director. In 2002, he was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of Luna Polska Sp. z o.o. In 2010-2016, he served as Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. and President of the Management Board of ZAKSA S.A. In 2017, he became a Member of the Management Board at Flex-Trade Sp. z o.o.

At Alchemia S.A., he worked as Director of Marketing and Strategic Clients, and in recent years, from 2019 to 2024, he served as President of the Management Board and Managing Director at European Steel Group Sp. z o.o.

In May 2024, he took up the position of President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn Spółka Akcyjna.

He completed a course for candidates for supervisory boards of companies with State Treasury shareholding, which ended with a state exam and the granting of rights to sit on supervisory boards by the Minister of the State Treasury. He sat on the supervisory boards of companies such as: Agencja Rozwoju Małopolski Zachodniej S.A., Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A., CTL Chemkol Sp. z o.o., ZAK Serwis Sp. z o.o., Hotel Ustka Sp. z o.o., Aster ZAK Sp. z o.o., ZAKSA S.A., Polskie Konsorcjum Chemiczne Sp. z o.o., Kędzierzyńsko-Kozielski Park Przemysłowy Sp. z o.o.. He is currently the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zakład Lecznictwa Ambulatoryjnego Sp. z o.o.

He has twenty-eight years of experience working in the production area of Grupa Azoty S.A. He gained his professional experience successively as:

• Independent Technologist and Shift Master at the Department of Wastewater Treatment and Landfills in the Power Plant,
• Company dispatcher - coordinator and Head of the Operational Coordination Team in the Production Coordination and Analysis Department,
• from August 2, 2021 as Chief Engineer of Production Management and Coordination in the Corporate Department of Technology and Energy.

He graduated from Tadeusz Kosciuszko Cracow University of Technology with a degree in Environmental Engineering.

As part of his trade union activities, he served two terms as Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Continuous Operations Workers at Zakłady Azotowe in Tarnow-Mościce S.A.
