Mirosław Ptasiński is a graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice and the Łódź University of Technology. He holds an Executive MBA degree awarded upon completion of studies conducted by GFKM at the University of Gdańsk in cooperation with RSM Erasmus University Rotterdam.

He is a manager with over 25 years of experience in finance management, production processes, sales teams, controlling, logistics and IT. He is an expert in strategic management and operational optimisation aimed at driving performance growth and improving organisational efficiency and profitability.

He began his professional career in Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy S.A. in 1996, progressing from an entry-level position to Branch Director. In 2002, he was appointed Vice President of the Management Board of Luna Polska Sp. z o.o.

From 2010 to 2016, he served as Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. and President of the Management Board of ZAKSA S.A. In 2017, he joined the Management Board of Flex-Trade Sp. z o.o. He later worked at Alchemia S.A. as Director for Marketing and Strategic Clients. In recent years, from 2019 onwards, he served as President of the Management Board and Managing Director of European Steel Group Sp. z o.o.

Since 20 May 2024, he has held the position of President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A.

He completed a certified programme for candidates for supervisory boards of companies with State Treasury participation, passing the state examination and receiving formal qualifications from the Minister of State Treasury. He has served on the supervisory boards of companies including: Agencja Rozwoju Małopolski Zachodniej S.A., Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A., CTL Chemkol Sp. z o.o., ZAK Serwis Sp. z o.o., Hotel Ustka Sp. z o.o., Aster ZAK Sp. z o.o., ZAKSA S.A., Polskie Konsorcjum Chemiczne Sp. z o.o., and Kędzierzyn-Koźle Industrial Park Sp. z o.o.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zakład Lecznictwa Ambulatoryjnego Sp. z o.o.

Pursuant to the decision of the Supervisory Board, the 13th-term Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. consists of six members, including five appointed following a qualification procedure and one member elected by employees.
