The journalists from Africa have come to Poland at the invitation of Polska Agencja Informacji i Inwestycji Zagranicznych S.A. (Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency).
The aim of their visit is to learn about our country and its current economic situation. The topics discussed at the meeting with Witold Szczypiński included the development of the Polish chemical industry and prospects for sourcing raw materials from Africa, where Grupa Azoty already has a presence. Witold Szczypiński presented the range of products offered by Grupa Azoty and outlined its strategy until 2020. The guests were particularly interested in the Company's investment plans and the possibility of implementing investment projects in Africa.
“I would like to assure that we are always ready to further discuss potential future projects and investments,” said Witold Szczypiński. “One of the main objectives of our strategy is to source raw materials and develop production outside Europe. This is why we are also interested in African countries.” Before the meeting with Grupa Azoty's Vice-President, the African journalists had visited also such institutions as the Polish Ministry of the Economy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The visit ends on September 19th 2014.
