Social sensitivity and promoting the inclusion of the disabled in various spheres of life were the merits that earned Grupa Azoty S.A. the third place in this year’s Icebreaker competition.Social sensitivity and promoting the inclusion of the disabled in various spheres of life were what gave Grupa Azoty S.A. the third place in this year’s Icebreakers competition addressed to socially sensitive employers, organised by the Foundation for Professional Inclusion of the Disabled and the Polish Association of Employers of the Disabled.On Monday, September 12th 2016, the Dworek Białoprądnicki Culture Centre of Kraków hosted the Kraków and Kielce Regional Gala of the 11th ICEBREAKERS 2016 competition. The event was an opportunity to present awards to the companies employing the disabled. Grupa Azoty S.A. took the third place in the competition and won the bronze medal in the Open Market category. Thus Grupa Azoty found itself among the companies distinguished by the Board of the ICEBREAKERS 2016 competition for being open to the needs of the disabled and supporting them in solving their problems by improving their working conditions and pursuing a responsible HR policy. According to the Board, Grupa Azoty S.A. is an important example to follow in professional and social inclusion of the disabled.“Grupa Azoty S.A. integrates not only Polish chemical companies, but also people. After all, they represent our most valuable asset. Our wide integration agenda perfectly reflects the idea underlying the competition: namely that Icebreakers are socially sensitive employers who offer the disabled an opportunity to live a full social, economically integrated life.
