Marek Cieślak is also bound by a contract with the Unia Tarnów club, where he will be a consultant responsible for conducting the training of the main team, cooperating with the coach in managing the junior team, selecting riders for the starting line-up, and leading the team in selected league races.

The cooperation with Marek Cieślak, a long-time coach of the Polish National Speedway Team and former coach for, among others, Unia Tarnów ŻSSA, will include promotional and advertising events using the Grupa Azoty logo.  The company’s name will be promoted by Marek Cieślak in TV broadcasts and programmes featuring him as a speedway expert.

“Grupa Azoty has been supporting the Tarnów speedway team for many years. After falling to a lower league last year, the team views this patronage as especially important now. The renewed cooperation with Marek Cieślak is one of the pillars on which we want to base our support for the Tarnów speedway riders. Together with the club we have worked out a solution that may truly help the Tarnów team regain its strong position in Polish speedway,” says Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.

The contract between Grupa Azoty and Marek Cieślak will be valid for the 2022 season.

“Cooperation with Grupa Azoty, which has been continuously supporting Tarnów speedway for many seasons, is a great honour for me. I believe that the form of support selected by Grupa Azoty for the team this season will bring tangible results for Unia Tarnów. Ten years ago we won the title of the Polish Team Champion together, and later more medals. The club has a rich tradition. I come to Tarnów to help rebuild the position of Tarnów speedway with my knowledge and experience and to gradually improve the sports and organisational level of the club,” Marek Cieślak said.
