Grupa Azoty representation on the governing body of Fertilizers Europe
The General Meeting of Fertilizers Europe appointed two Grupa Azoty representatives to the Fertilizers Europe Board.

Marek Kapłucha was appointed Vice-President of the FE Board for another two-year term of office, and Andrzej Skolmowski was reappointed to the position of FE Board Member and Chairman of the Statistics Committee.

“I am very pleased that the FE General Meeting has appointed me again to the position of Board Vice-President. It is a sign of trust placed in me by our professional community. For the next two years I will be able to represent the Polish chemical industry and have an important say on issues related to the European fertilizer industry and thus actively influence the processes of key importance for that sector of the economy,” said Marek Kapłucha, Vice-President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board.

“I am happy to be able to continue my work for such an important organisation, important not only to Grupa Azoty, but to the entire fertilizer industry in Poland. Thanks to our representation on the Fertilizers Europe Board, we will not only participate in the decision-making process concerning the European fertilizer market, but will also be able to actively cooperate in conceptual work with other FE member companies,” said Andrzej Skolmowski, Vice-President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board.

One of the key roles of FE is to liaise with the European Commission in areas such as trade protection and anti-dumping duty policy. Grupa Azoty will continue to actively lead and participate in the work related to agriculture, environmental protection, trade and technology sharing.

Fertilizers Europe (the European Fertilizer Manufacturers Association) represents Europe’s largest fertilizer manufacturers. Its main objectives are to educate, analyse and solve problems related to the manufacture and use of fertilizers likely to have an impact on both the environment and the health of people living in the EU. Also, FE looks after the interests of the entire EU fertilizer market and is responsible for contacts with international companies and institutions, being the only organisation of such standing to represent the fertilizer industry before the European Commission. Apart from Polish companies, its members include enterprises from Spain, France, Norway, Lithuania, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and Greece.
