Grupa Azoty Reviews Non-Compete Agreements from Recent Years. First Complaint Filed with the Prosecutor's Office

Grupa Azoty is currently analysing non-compete agreements signed in recent years that have been unfavourable for particular companies within the Group and have caused harm to these entities. The first such complaint, concerning the signing of a non-compete agreement after the termination of employment, has been filed by Grupa Azoty Puławy with the District Prosecutor's Office in Puławy.

"Grupa Azoty had previously expressed its critical stance on several projects and decisions made by individual companies within the Group in recent years. We have a duty to report every case where there is suspicion of actions detrimental to the company. Grupa Azoty will be consistent in this regard, especially considering the difficult financial situation the current management inherited a few months ago," said Monika Darnobyt, Press Spokesperson for Grupa Azoty.

Following the recommendation of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., audits are currently being conducted within the Capital Group to examine the operations of the Group's companies over the past few years. These audits are linked, among others, to the record losses reported since the fourth quarter of 2022, the lack of effective remedial actions, the investments undertaken, and the agreements signed. The first complaint to the prosecutor's office was filed by Grupa Azoty in August of this year concerning the Polish National Foundation.
