Grupa Azoty seeks innovative solutions under KPT ScaleUp programme

Following a three-stage recruitment process for the sixth edition of the KPT ScaleUp programme, Grupa Azoty has established partnerships with four startups that pitched the best Industry 4.0 solutions. For the next six months the selected startups will work directly with the company on their innovative ideas.

A six-month acceleration programme with Grupa Azoty is to ultimately deliver concrete solutions ready to be deployed at the company.

In this year’s edition of KPT ScaleUp, Grupa Azoty and the selected startups will develop solutions supporting the digital transformation of manufacturing and logistics processes and technology enabling further transformation of the company in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal.

The startups selected by Grupa Azoty are Reliasol – a startup specialising in the development and implementation of predictive and expert models based on the Predictive & Prescriptive Maintenance concept, Sternkraft – responsible for the Safeway system for operating and controlling logistics systems, Silencions – a startup offering acoustic solutions to reduce noise and mechanical vibrations, and VReact – specialising in VR training for industrial customers.

‘Finding the right partners providing solutions that meet Grupa Azoty’s needs is paramount to us. Participation in the programme is a cornerstone of our innovation ecosystem, which enables us to embrace new technology and work with technologically advanced partners. The solutions we develop or hone together could be used in areas that are of key importance to our company. For the startups, the acceleration programme with Grupa Azoty provides a unique opportunity to test their solutions in the business environment,’ notes Dr Grzegorz Kądzielawski, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.

Grupa Azoty first partnered the KPT ScaleUp acceleration programme in 2019. By participating in the scheme, it aims to gain access to innovative ideas and opportunities to test and, possibly, commercialise new products, business models and services. All partners are given a platform to work with selected startups and run pilot tests of selected projects for six months. In the three previous rounds, Grupa Azoty accelerated ten startups.

The KPT ScaleUP accelerator is run as part of the Cracow Technology Park (KPT). Twelve startups were selected for this year’s edition of the programme. Participation in KPT ScaleUp offers technological startups an opportunity to work with companies like Grupa Azoty. They receive a non-repayable grant of up to PLN 200,000 and a training and consultancy package worth up to PLN 50,000.
