The Agro Pomerania Agricultural Fair was held last weekend in Barzkowice, Szczecin Province. The event, accompanied by the traditional annual Harvest Festival, was sponsored by Grupa Azoty.
The Agro Pomerania Agricultural Fair is one of the largest agricultural events in Poland, presenting an opportunity to share experiences not only between farmers, but also manufacturers of agricultural machinery, representatives of the chemical and fertilizer industries, etc.
In accordance with the tradition of all harvest festival celebrations, the most beautiful wreath was selected. Grupa Azoty-funded prizes were presented to the winners of the competition in the freestyle category by Tomasz Cekała, President of the Management Board of Agrochem Puławy, a company of the Grupa Azoty Group.
“Agro Pomerania is a fair with an established reputation. As Grupa Azoty, we are happy to be present at the fair. Such events are an excellent opportunity to talk directly with farmers. Thanks to such meetings, we get even more insight into farmers’ expectations and can tailor our portfolio to their needs,” says Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.
The event also featured a presentation of meals prepared by local Rural Wives Associations and a livestock show. The artistic part was the annual Folk Ensemble Contest. The Agro Pomerania Agricultural Fair was organised by the West Pomeranian Agricultural Consultancy Centre.
“The 33rd Agro Pomerania Agricultural Fair in Barzkowice culminates with the traditional Harvest Festival, one of the most important events for Polish farmers. It has a symbolic dimension and a special meaning as it is a form of thanking all farmers for their hard year-round work. Grupa Azoty has been supporting farmers for nearly a century in their efforts to ensure that crops are not only abundant, but also predictable and repeatable. We produce fertilizers, constantly improving their formulas, but also provide food producers with an increasingly wide range of solutions in fertilizer application,” added Tomasz Cekała, President of the Management Board of Agrochem Puławy.
