Grupa Azoty is one of the donors who provided funding to grow the art collection held by the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Among the works purchased were paintings by Bernardo Bellotto aka Canaletto, and Marcello Bacciarelli. Grupa Azoty’s donation also helped with the purchase of the painting César-René-Marie-François-Rodolphe de Vachon, Marquis de Belmont-Briançon, a battlefield beyond by Émile-Jean-Horace Vernet.
The presentation ceremony of the purchased works to the Royal Collection was held on December 15th at the Royal Castle. One of the highlights of the event was the hanging of Bellotto’s painting on display. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture and National Heritage prof. Piotr Gliński, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin. The event also included presentation of certificates of appreciation to Royal Castle Donors. The certificate awarded to Grupa Azoty was received on the company’s behalf by Vice President of its Management Board Grzegorz Kądzielawski.
