During the Plastics Day, Grupa Azoty employees stressed the multitude of opportunities offered by plastics, but also the fact that they called for a professional approach at the product design and manufacturing stage, as well as a focus on ensuring their recycling and circular reuse, which is why education and awareness of the benefits and challenges associated with plastics were so important. For advanced applications, the properties of plastics need to be specifically tailored and modified with various additives. This is what the Grupa Azoty Group’s laboratories and compounding facilities specialise in.

“Plastics improve our comfort and safety, their unique characteristics making them suitable for application in virtually every area of our lives. As a leader of the plastics industry, we organise events such as the Plastics Day, during which we can talk of the role played by plastics in our daily lives based on concrete examples,” said Grzegorz Kądzielawski, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., during the Plastics Day.

The event included a number of attractions for visitors, including exhibitions demonstrating the vital role of plastics in areas such as the automotive, medical and defence industries. Participants could also meet with athletes sponsored by Grupa Azoty and learn more about the role of plastics in sports.
