Grupa Azoty is consistently pursuing projects designed to reduce carbon emissions, including through plant upgrades and change of production processes and technologies. Another environmental initiative will be the ‘Green Fence’ project to plant carbon absorbing plants on Grupa Azoty’s fencing in Tarnów.
Tomasz Hinc, President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board, met in Tarnów with Malwina Kopron, winner of the bronze medal in women’s hammer throw at the Tokyo Olympics. At the meeting, the CEO presented to Ms Kopron an acknowledgement letter from the Grupa Azoty Group.
Following a three-stage recruitment process for the sixth edition of the KPT ScaleUp programme, Grupa Azoty has established partnerships with four startups that pitched the best Industry 4.0 solutions. For the next six months the selected startups will work directly with the company on their innovative ideas.
Harvest Festival celebrations attended by Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda were held in Zbylitowska Góra, Tarnów Municipality, on August 21st. Grupa Azoty joined this year’s edition of the Harvest Festival as its Main Partner.
Grupa Azoty S.A. and Tarnów District Heat Supplier (Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej S.A.; “MPEC”) have inked an agreement that will significantly increase the supply of heat in heating water from Grupa Azoty S.A. to MPEC from October 1st 2022.
