Dr Grzegorz Kądzielawski, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., has been elected by the General Assembly of Fertilizers Europe, an association of Europe’s largest fertilizer companies, as its Vice President for the next term from 2022 to 2024. It is the second term in a row dr Grzegorz Kądzielawski has been appointed Vice President of Fertilizers Europe.
Grupa Azoty S.A. has entered into an agreement to hold negotiations, on an exclusive basis, regarding the potential acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Solarfarm Brzezinka sp. z o.o. Under the agreement, the parties expressed their intent to collaborate on the Brzezinka solar PV project with a capacity of about 270 MWp.
We already know the winning initiatives of the 1st Edition of Grupa Azoty’s Employee Volunteering Programme, which relates to ‘Green Azoty’, the Group’s strategic corporate project. The judging panel have selected 10 proposals, to be carried through between August and October this year in various places around Poland. The winning entries are focused on such themes as the promotion of green transport, sensory gardens and bird nesting boxes. Each of the winners will receive a sum of PLN 6,000 to bring their ideas into being.
Grupa Azoty has again signed up as the exclusive Sponsor of the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music. Advertisement benefits provided in exchange include the display of the Group’s logotype and name in the concert hall before concerts and a visible mention of the Group’s sponsorship engagement in all promotional materials distributed by the Centre. The engagement will be effective for 12 months.

In the fifth edition of the ‘We care for the Polish land’ customer lottery run by Grupa Azoty, the grand prize, a John Deere 5075E tractor, went to Eugeniusz from Gostyń County in the province of Poznań. This year’s lottery saw nearly 43,000 entries, an increase of more than 261% over 2018 when Grupa Azoty’s lottery was first held.
