In this year’s edition of the ranking, prepared by Coface – the leading business intelligence group in the CEE region – Grupa Azoty has climbed three places to the 37th position. Since 2021, Grupa Azoty has climbed 19 positions.
Grupa Azoty S.A. has received state aid under the ‘Aid to energy-intensive industries related to natural gas and electricity prices in 2023’ programme administered by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The amount of the financial support granted to Grupa Azoty S.A. is PLN 12m, with compensation for the Grupa Azoty Group companies totalling PLN 173m.
Regarding the article titled “Miały być kryształy, jest klops” (“How crystals have turned into abject failure”) published by the Gazeta Wyborcza daily on December 18th 2023, we would like to clarify and correct certain aspects that were falsely represented in the publication concerning a facility construction project executed for Grupa Azoty.
Under the agreement, the parties have agreed upon additional terms and conditions for the provision of financing by the financial institutions to support the implementation of the Polimery Police project. The agreement is related to the existing agreement for the financing of the project and will remain in effect until February 28th 2024.
Grupa Azoty S.A. and VSB Holding GmbH have agreed on an updated revised term sheet (the “Term Sheet”) outlining the path to acquisition of the entire share capital of Solarfarm Brzezinka. As per the updated Term Sheet, subject to adherence to the schedule provided in the Term Sheet and fulfilment of negotiation conditions, Grupa Azoty S.A. will maintain exclusivity until March 31st 2024, for the execution of a preliminary conditional sale agreement regarding the prospective acquisition of 100% of shares in Solarfarm’s share capital.
The Grupa Azoty Group has released its production volume estimates for November 2023, showing an increase in the Group companies’ product output in nitrogen fertilizers and OXO alcohols. According to estimates, Group companies produced 282,000 tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers in November (up from 245,000 tonnes in October). The estimated volume for OXO products is 13,000 tonnes vs. 3,000 tonnes in October.
