Grupa Azoty S.A. rolls out key investment projects

Grupa Azoty S.A. is launching investments in the Plastics and Fertilizers segments. The flagship projects – Polyamide 6 Plant and Granulation Plant II – with a total estimated cost of PLN 460m, are to be placed in service in 2016 and will give jobs to 110 people. The Company has already secured all corporate approvals required to commence the investment process.

For 2013, the Grupa Azoty Group reported revenue of PLN 9.8bn (2012: PLN 7.1bn), net profit of PLN 714m (2012: PLN 315m) and operating profit (EBIT) of PLN 703m (2012: PLN 372m).

Slow growth in challenging market environment

Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Puławy S.A.'s H1 consolidated net profit was PLN 37m, on total revenue of PLN 1,763m (with EBIT and EBITDA at PLN 39m and PLN 112m, respectively).

Seventh time in RESPECT Index for Grupa Azoty

Having satisfied the RESPECT project's exacting criteria and requirements, Grupa Azoty has again qualified as a constituent of the project's index. This is the seventh appearance of the Tarnów-based company in the index, which means that Grupa Azoty has been a constant presence in the project since its inception in 2009.
