Tubes from plasticized and non-plasticized (hard grades) of polyamide 11 and 12 are monolayer tubes (hoses) manufactured through extrusion and vacuum calibration. They are produced in black and natural colours, as well as available in primary colours.

Main properties of polyamide 11 and 12 tubes include:See more
  • good mechanical properties,
  • high elasticity and impact resistance at low temperatures,
  • high resistance to long-term thermal stress and exposure to atmospheric conditions, including UV radiation,
  • resistance to stress corrosion cracking caused by salt,
  • low water absorption,
  • high resistance to hydrocarbon, oil, lubricant, fuel and grease component exposure.

Product description

Tubes from plasticized and non-plasticized (hard grades) of polyamide 11 and 12 are monolayer tubes (hoses) manufactured through extrusion and vacuum calibration.
They are produced in black and natural colours, as well as available in primary colours.

Main properties of polyamide 11 and 12 tubes include:

  • good mechanical properties,
  • high elasticity and impact resistance at low temperatures,
  • high resistance to long-term thermal stress and exposure to atmospheric conditions, including UV radiation,
  • resistance to stress corrosion cracking caused by salt,
  • low water absorption,
  • high resistance to hydrocarbon, oil, lubricant, fuel and grease component exposure.

Application and uses

Plasticized polyamide 11 and 12 tubes are used as compressed air lines in truck air braking systems as well as hoses in cooling devices.
Non-plasticized, hard polyamide 11 and 12 (PA11 HL and PA 12 HL), as well as their plasticized grades, are used as fuel lines in vehicles and other fuel systems. Non-plasticized polyamide 11 and 12 tubes are used as coating for steering cables in vehicles, eg. in power window systems as well as lubrication and pressure hoses.
Packing:See more
  • coils – tubes are formed into coils approx. 1m in diameter; the coils are wrapped in tape to protect against damage during transport and storage; maximum 2 sections of tubing per coil,
  • bundles – polyamide tubes may be bundled when cut into sections approx. 4m in length and wrapped in plastic foil or cardboard boxes.
Other methods of packaging tube coils and bundles are available upon agreement between producer and customer.

Tubing coils and bundles may be stacked in loading units on pallets up to 1 m in height and wrapped in stretch foil.

Polyamide 11 and 12 tubing should be transported by covered means of transport according to rail and road freight regulations. Coils or bundles may be stacked during transport, or on pallets max. 1m in height. Stacking of pallets is not allowed. Transport conditions should prevent exposure to damage, moisture and pollution of the product.

Polyamide 11 and 12 tubes are not a hazardous product according to ADR, RID and IMDG regulations.
StorageSee more

Polyamide 11 and 12 tubes should be stored in clean and dry rooms at room temperature, minimum 1m away from working heating appliances. Open air storage is also allowed if protected from direct exposure to the sun. Coils or bundles may be stacked during transport, or on pallets max. 1 m in height. Stacking of pallets is not allowed.
