Given the present situation in the fertilizer market, Grupa Azoty has urged its authorised fertilizer distributors to actively support producer groups, cooperatives and farmer groups to ensure the expected level of fertilizer availability on the domestic market. In its letters sent to distributors, the Company has urged them to immediately analyse fertilizer resale streams so that the needs of Polish farmers are covered first.
Grupa Azoty is among the signatories of an agreement whose objectives include creating conditions and commencing cooperation for the development of hydrogen technologies in Poland. The document, developed by the Ministry of Climate and Environment in partnership with representatives of the public and private sectors, presents a number of solutions to drive the transformation of Poland’s energy sector.
Grupa Azoty and Microsoft have signed an agreement to use the cloud technology in, among others, precision agriculture, fostering technological initiatives that change the manufacturing sector, and expanding the competencies of the Group’s employees. Computational power and advanced analytics will enable the implementation of more effective measures aimed at optimising Grupa Azoty’s business and driving sustainable development of the organisation.
Under the agreement, Grupa Azoty S.A. and the University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów declared their intention to undertake joint efforts aimed at achieving synergy between science and industry. The agreement provides, among others, for substantive support to be provided for the activities conducted by Grupa Azoty S.A. by granting access to research facilities and preparing appropriate expert opinions by the Tarnów-based university.
‘Grupa Azoty Arena’ – this is the name that will be given to a newly opened sports and entertainment hall in Puławy after signing the agreement.
