The Capital Market Games once again brought together several hundred representatives of WSE-listed companies, market institutions, brokerage houses, investors, and authorised advisers. They had a chance to test their skills in individual sports disciplines such as badminton, tennis, table tennis, swimming, or athletics, as well as in team sports: football, volleyball and beach volleyball.

In this year’s edition of the event, Grupa Azoty S.A. was represented by Sławomir Hebda, Robert Lichwała, Kamil Michoń, Tomasz Sikora, Wojciech Wawrzynek and Sławomir Zając. They competed in several sports disciplines: long-distance running, sprint, 4x100 relay, tennis, table tennis, badminton and tug of war. Last year, the Tarnów team collected four medals; this year – only one, a bronze medal won by Kamil Michoń in the 1,500 meter race. He thus made up for his last year’s failures when he came in fourth in two races. In the 4x100 relay, the team composed of Lichwała, Michoń, Sikora and Zając fell only 0.15 of a second short of the medal podium. Similarly to last year, the team were fourth-place finishers, which many athletes describe as the most unlucky position to finish in.

Sławomir Zając and Wojciech Wawrzynek played in the tennis tournament, while Sławomir Hebda took part in the table tennis and badminton competitions. At the end of the games, the Grupa Azoty S.A. team competed in a tug of war.

It should be added that the Grupa Azoty Group was also represented by participants from Grupa Azoty Puławy. And indeed they showed what they were made of! In the football finals, they beat the Polnord team 4:0.

Their results show that sport and physical education among the employees of Grupa Azoty are actively promoted and supported by the Company.
