The Congress was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of State Treasury and the Citizen Shareholding Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of State Treasury for individual investors. 

It is already the eighth edition of the Congress that has had Grupa Azoty as its strategic partner. This year's Congress was a special one, as SEG is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The main theme of the Congress was 'Changes in the Economic Environment as an Opportunity to Improve Competitiveness of Listed Companies'. Panel discussions attended by the representatives of leading Polish companies were focused on the issues of long-term strategy, foreign expansion and competitiveness through innovation. After the official part of the Congress, the 4th Capital Market Charity Run was held. Grupa Azoty's representative on the 'Competitiveness through innovation' panel discussion was Mr Zenon Pokojski, Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Puławy S.A., who stressed that strategy is the art of making choices and that long-term planning is of key importance, both to the company itself and to its investors.
