Shares slid 3.3% on opening and traded at PLN 18.85, while subscription rights fell 5.7% to PLN 18.38. 52 000 shares and 353 000 subscription rights changed hands during the first session, which comprised merely 1% of Azoty Tarnów securities on the WSE.
- In current conditions, Tarnów's stock exchange debut is a success. The volume of trading shows that investors are treating it as as mid- to long-term investment. We must remember, that Azoty will only start investments in the future. These will increase the company's value - emphasizes Aleksander Grad, Minister of the Treasury.
According to analysts, yesterday's slump is simply a reflection of the entrant's realistic market value -the company's papers were not trading at the expected discount.
- Investors should notice, that Tarnów obtained nearly PLN 300 000 000 from the issue. This will allow it to improve financial results. It has also gained significant shareholders: PGNiG and Ciech- comments Rafał Salwa, independent market analyst in Puls Biznesu daily.
